Queen’s Wood Extension

We designed this Muswell Hill house extension to be a beautiful addition to a period Victorian home, featuring a contemporary design with a zinc-clad exterior and large glass doors that flood the space with natural light. The extension adds valuable living and kitchen space, as well as a new outdoor living and dining area.

One of the key features of the extension is the glass-box-type roof lights and glazed corners, which bring in even more light. The design also includes concrete planters that wrap around the window sills, adding a touch of greenery and colour to the space.

The dining area is located under a glass-box roof, which floods the space with light and creates a unique atmosphere. The extension opens onto the garden with oversized pivot doors, enhancing the sense of space and volume.
The existing living room has been preserved and is now on a raised level, overlooking the new extension and connected to the space with frameless glass balustrades. The extension is capped off with a beautiful grass sedum roof, adding a touch of natural beauty and quality to the design.

Overall, the design of the extension was carefully planned to create a fantastic connection with the garden, lower the level of the extension to bring in more natural light and create a flow of space and light throughout the newly extended kitchen and dining space.
